Sponsorships Available for 2022 Gala

What a year it has been. Many of us continue to march on during the world-wide pandemic. We, the Superior Health Foundation, are cognizant of the many needs across the region and continue to do our part to provide health-centered funding to help non-profit organizations across the Upper Peninsula. The challenges for 2022 remain, but we’re here to do our part to help.

That’s why, as we prepare for the 11th Annual Superior Health Foundation Gala, proudly presented by the Marshfield Clinic on Saturday, Oct. 1, we’re excited to raise money to support our peninsula-wide grant giving while also supporting a non-profit partner.

The number of health issues continues to be greater than ever. For 2022, SHF will partner with a health-centered organization and award $15,000 in funding to that organization. We’re proud to announce that our partner will be the District 10 Lions to support its Childhood Cancer Program. Its funding will be used to help with travel and medical costs for families who need to travel for care; support Camp Quality Upper Peninsula, a camp for pediatric patients and their families at Bay Cliff Health Camp; and support Kids Kicking Cancer, a non-profit that empowers children to manage pain and stress through martial arts and meditation.

The District 10 Lions has connected with 65 families in the Upper Peninsula. The U.P. has the largest number of children per capita diagnosed with cancer in Michigan.
U.P. families face daunting challenges because they must travel out of our area for care. Many times, one parent is forced to take an extended leave of absence or leave a job to be with their child. Medical treatment can go on for many years, leaving kids with physical, emotional and sensory deficits.

The Lions perform exemplary charitable work across the U.P., and with childhood cancer diagnoses rising in the U.P., it’s a great cause to support.

Our annual gala is successful because of people and organizations like you who charitably invest in their communities. We hope you have made it through 2021 and can join us to support these causes in whatever way you feel safe and able. The annual gala is a wonderful opportunity to visit with friends and colleagues, relish a delicious meal and drink and enjoy our entertainment (a comedian from Chicago who promises to be awesome!).

We’re hopeful you will help sponsor and attend our event in whatever capacity possible. We believe we have sponsorship options that align with everyone’s 2022 budget. If you are able, we gratefully welcome your continued sponsorship at your previous level; or if you cannot, we welcome what works for your organization. We value your support.

We wish you all the best for 2022 and look forward to working together to support health-centered organizations. Enclosed is an overview of sponsorship levels, which we have made several exciting additions for 2022!
