Why does your gift matter?
The fact that you’re considering a gift to the Superior Health Foundation means that you believe in our cause, our mission to improve the health of people in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Our mission is “to assist with unmet healthcare needs, with health education, and with programs and research on preventing illness and promoting health.
As the SHF increases its reach to include the entire Upper Peninsula, your gift will be used to help our team carry out the SHF mission by facilitating the connection of your gift to those in need. Your gift changes lives and when we change lives, we all share in the joy. You can also give in honor or in memory of a loved one.
What Programs Can I Support?
Breast Health Fund
which provides charitable funding/financial support to help minimize the out-of-pocket expenses for those who most need charitable support, for breast-care related bills, biopsies, procedures and ultrasound tests.
Indigent Care Fund
which provides funding to non-profit organizations across the Upper Peninsula that provide funding to meet the needs of the indigent care population.
Run for Life Organ Donation Fund
which assists organ transplant patients with medical costs, prescription and mileage expenses, as well as assist potential organ donors with travel expenses. All monies stay in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
Pilot Project Grants
which provide up to $2,500 in funding to start-up and seed projects. Your gift will be added to the existing yearly allotment of $25,000 to award mini-grants to support health-centered causes all across the Upper Peninsula.
Equipment Grants
provides funding in the form of equipment grants for the purchase of sustainable, health-related equipment to benefit the health and well-being of the residents of the Upper Peninsula.

Give Monthly
Want to support the Superior Health Foundation monthly? You can simply bill your credit/debit card every month, by selecting how often you would like to give, once-a-month, quarterly, etc, or you can set up an automatic bank draft. To set up an automatic bank draft, you can simply call the Superior Health Foundation at 225-6914 or call your bank and they can set it up for you. We can also send you monthly remittance envelopes if you prefer to give by check. The Superior Health Foundation appreciates our monthly givers since it allows us to better plan for our granting future and build upon the lives we are changing. Your gift helps us go from good to great.
Planned Giving
The Superior Health Foundation values the charitable support of people just like you. Planned gifts are an important part of gift giving. Gifts to the Superior Health Foundation go directly back into our endowment, which in turn will provide grant funding to many health initiatives all across the Upper Peninsula.
We’re grateful for the wonderful response to the Foundation’s efforts to enhance the impact of philanthropy. We’re hopeful our donors will discover the benefits of supporting the Superior Health Foundation through their estate plans.
