Our signature event this year is the Gogebic Miners Homecoming football game on Saturday afternoon against the Stephenson Eagles. On that day, we’ll throw a Pink Party! We’ll have games for kids, along with bucket drawings featuring pink merchandise. Also, an online silent auction begins at 3 p.m. (EST) today and will continue through 4 p.m. (EST) on Saturday. As part of this online auction, the Gogebic Miners pink jerseys will be available to bid on. The minimum bid is $100. View the auction.

There is an opportunity to support the SHF Breast Health Fund with a tax-deductible charitable gift. All money raised during the month of October goes directly to the SHF Breast Health Fund, which helps men and women across the Upper Peninsula with out-of-pocket breast health expenses. One hundred percent of the money raised stays in the Upper Peninsula. So, please consider a gift to help support this much-needed, invaluable fund.
During the month of October, SHF is encouraging businesses across the U.P. to become day sponsors and consider hosting something special to raise money for the fund. A day sponsorship is $150 and two days is $250. On those days, businesses will be recognized on the SHF Facebook page for playing a role in helping replenish the fund.
