SUPERIOR HEALTH FOUNDATION 2025 GALA PARTNER REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS

The mission of the Superior Health Foundation (SHF) is to assist with unmet healthcare needs, health education, and programs and research on preventing illness and promoting health in the Upper Peninsula.

PURPOSE: Each year, SHF hosts an evening of food and entertainment for a good cause. The annual gala, which includes up to 400 guests, will be held in the ballroom at Northern Michigan University’s Northern Center in early October (exact date to be determined soon). It is an opportunity to share the mission of the Superior Health Foundation and bring community members together around a health-related cause. Based on past galas, SHF estimates that at least $40,000 will go to a U.P.-based, health-focused nonprofit. The total amount raised will be announced after the gala.

SELECTION CRITERIA: The SHF Special Events Committee will evaluate proposals based on the following criteria:

•           Number of individuals the organization serves
•           Description of the project that the gala proceeds will go toward
•           Compelling rationale for why the organization should be chosen
•           The organization’s capacity to assist with soliciting sponsorships and donations
•           Total project budget

WHO SHOULD APPLY: Any tax-exempt, health-focused organization headquartered in the Upper Peninsula may apply.

Partners will be asked to help secure sponsorships and items for the silent auction and fill at least two guest tables.
