The Superior Health Foundation’s Breast Health Fund provides direct cash assistance to individuals with limited income who face breast health-related medical expenses, are either uninsured or underinsured, or face high deductibles or co-pays, and need financial support for screenings, diagnostic tests, treatments, and other costs associated with their breast health journey such as travel and transportation, and medical devices or equipment.

The Breast Health Fund is a partnership between SHF and local health departments, cancer services organizations, and healthcare providers, who refer individuals to this resource. The Fund is administered by the Marquette County Health Department.

The Breast Health Fund is made possible by generous donations from individuals across the Upper Peninsula and through our annual Paint the Peninsula Pink fundraiser. To learn more or to donate to the fund, please fill out this form or contact our office at [email protected] or 906-225-6914.

How to apply:

To be eligible for this support, individuals must reside in the Upper Peninsula and apply directly to the Superior Health Foundation. There are no income restrictions, and applicants facing financial hardship due to breast-health-related expenses are encouraged to apply. Individuals are eligible for one-time support up to $2,500 but may reapply after two years if they are still undergoing breast-health-related treatment. The application must be accompanied by proof of medical services or diagnosis and related bills.
