ISHPEMING, Mich. (WLUC) – With summer quickly approaching, a Marquette County non-profit is looking for participants for this year’s Farm-to-School Summer Camp.
Registration is open now for parents and guardians of students who have completed 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th grade in Marquette County during the 2024-2025 school year. The camp is made possible by the support of the Superior Health Foundation and Marquette Alger RESA.
It offers a hands-on learning experience and a unique opportunity to explore gardening, food cultivation, nutrition, and healthy cooking.
Organizers say the camp can teach kids to have a greater appreciation for farming and nature.
