Marquette, MI – The Superior Health Foundation (SHF) is proud to announce the launch of its annual Paint the Peninsula Pink campaign. This initiative aims to raise funds for the Breast Health Fund, which provides financial assistance to Upper Peninsula residents for out-of-pocket expenses like mammograms, biopsies, and other breast health-related medical procedures.
The campaign encourages businesses and community members throughout the Upper Peninsula to get involved by becoming day sponsors during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October. Sponsors can also dedicate their day in honor or memory of someone affected by breast cancer. A single-day sponsorship is $150, and a two-day sponsorship is $250.
Paint the Peninsula Pink has become a well-established event for SHF, with businesses across the U.P. stepping up to organize special activities or events on their sponsored days, helping to raise additional funds and awareness for this important cause. Swick Home Services is a dedicated supporter of this cause and will be sponsoring a day and along with donating a portion of service calls for that day.
“The support from our local businesses and community members is vital to ensuring we can continue helping those who need it most,” said Superior Health Foundation CEO Megan Murphy. “We’re asking our community to join us in painting the peninsula pink this October and supporting breast health awareness and care across the U.P.”
