The Superior Health Foundation is proud to welcome Rachel Sheppard to its team.
An event specialist, Rachel will oversee and coordinate the SHF Annual Gala, annual golf outing and Painting the Peninsula Pink.
“I feel like I’m a great fit for the Superior Health Foundation because I’m very passionate about helping our local communities in the Upper Peninsula,” Sheppard said. “I want to see people happy and healthy, and I think I have the connections to help make that happen. I have great ideas to help with fundraising, and with my event planning background, I know I will succeed to help this amazing foundation.”
A native of Gladstone, Rachel attended Western Michigan University and has lived in Marquette the past 15 years.
She comes to the Superior Health Foundation from the Landmark Inn where, for the past 12 years, she managed the food and beverage team. She also planned and coordinated weddings, golf outings and business functions. She also volunteered a number of times at the Beacon House for its annual golf outings.
Rachel and her husband also own Superior Draft, used at weddings and cooperate picnics.
In her spare time, Rachel enjoys hiking with her dog, biking, golfing, traveling and relaxing on the beach.
