Indigent Care Grants

The Superior Health Foundation is now accepting grant applications for its Indigent Care Fund. SHF will award nearly $58,000 at its spring grant celebration in April. Qualified health-centered, non-profit organizations can apply for up to $10,000 in funding.

Applications will be accepted from Feb. 1 through Feb. 29.

Superior Health Foundation’s Indigent Care Grants offer support to those in our community who struggle to afford essential health services. The Indigent Care Fund exemplifies commitment to promoting health equity in our community. By offering financial aid for medical expenses, this program plays a vital role in ensuring that no one is left behind in accessing quality healthcare.

“The Indigent Care Fund is an important facet in our grant making at Superior Health Foundation,” said Jim LaJoie, executive director of the Superior Health Foundation. “There are a number of indigent care needs in the Upper Peninsula. We strongly encourage qualified non-profits to apply for funding.”

The Superior Health Foundation’s Grants Committee will review the applications and will make its recommendations to the SHF Board of Directors.
