Superior Health Foundation seeking golf partner for 2017
MARQUETTE — Are you a non-profit with a health-centered mission? If so, the Superior Health Foundation is interested in partnering with you on an upcoming event.
The Superior Health Foundation annual fundraising golf event will be held on Friday, June 16 at the Marquette Golf Club. Proceeds from the golf scramble will benefit SHF and a health-centered non-profit in the Upper Peninsula that’s carefully chosen by the SHF Special Events Committee and endorsed by the SHF Board of Directors.
SHF will award up to $5,000 to an organization selected whose project aligns with its mission.
In 2016, the Superior Health Foundation partnered with Just Believe, a non-profit organization dedicated to reducing the incidence of melanoma cancer and the dangers of over-exposure to the sun.
The Special Events Committee will screen submissions and will give high priority to health-centered initiatives or projects (up to $5,000) that benefit a large geographic population across the U.P.
The Superior Health Foundation will accept applications through Friday, March 10, 2017, with the intent of selecting a non-profit project by mid-March.
The Superior Health Foundation is proud and honored to stand alongside other health-centered non-profits as we strive to improve the health of people in the U.P.
Those with questions are asked to call the Superior Health Foundation at 906-225-6914 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.

The Superior Health Foundation presents Child & Family Services of the Upper Peninsula, Inc., with a check for $9,734.50, representing half of the net proceeds raised at the SHF Annual Golf Outing on June 19 at the Red Fox Run Golf Course in Gwinn. With its portion of the net proceeds, Child & Family Services of the U.P., Inc., will address adolescent homelessness in the Upper Peninsula. Thanks to 22 teams and a generous contingent of sponsors, the golf outing raised a record $19,469! The event was co-sponsored by A. Lindberg & Sons and North Greenwood Lakes. The SHF is proud to announce that it will be partner with Child & Family Services of the U.P. on its annual golf outing this summer, scheduled for noon on Friday, June 19, at Red Fox Run Golf Course in Gwinn.
With its share of the net proceeds, Child & Family Services will address homeless adolescents who are likely to experience a greater number of physical and mental health problems then their housed counterparts. The funds from the SHF golf outing will be used to help individuals through the Supportive Housing for Youth Program by providing initial health/mental health/dental assessments.
The youth will be assessed for enrollment in health insurance programs, and for those who do not have insurance, some dollars will be used for co-pays to cover prescription medicine. SHF is excited to partner with this very fine organization. SHF is seeking sponsors for
